Timing and spacing animation
For the second animation class, we were mainly focusing on two animation principles: timing and spacing. Timing is how long it takes for actions in animation to run through, and spacing is where the object is placed in each frame to show its movement. For this lesson, we had to do a coin animation- one with equal spacing and one with ease in, ease out spacing. The equal spacing made the animation look slightly unnatural and clunky, whereas the ease in ease out animation looks much more fluid.
