Character design Reflective statement

This Project has been a bit of a rollercoaster. Even from the beginning, I had a bit of a love-hate relationship with it- I loved the idea of doing a project focused on pirates, but I hated the fact that everything had to be inflatable. For a long time I struggled with the inflatable aspect of the project, but in the end that was a good thing, because it stretched my creative abilities and made me come up with new ways to incorporate the inflatable aspect into the designs and world in a way that made sense. In the end, I'm really happy with the final result, and quite glad I got something way out of my comfort zone to work on, as I don't think I'd have learnt as much had I gotten a different project.

My biggest downfall for this project was losing my time management skills towards the end. Learning from past experiences, I had made sure to keep on top of everything in the beginning of the project, but over the christmas break I dropped the ball massively, having to rush at the end to make sure everything was completed to a good standard. Some aspects would have definetely been stronger had I given myself a little more time. I think I got into a false sense of security over the break, being more lenient with myself because of the amount of work I'd done, instead of making sure I properly considered how much time the remaining work would take to do well.

For future projects, I will make sure to carefully consider how much time each part of the project will take, and make sure to keep up with the project workflow to give each part of the project the time it deserves
